So... tomorrow this means I have to make 2 things to be all caught up. It's been a bit of a crazy week this week for some reason.
Anyways - today I made things 7, 8, and 9. I made 2 different creative packages for 2 different swaps (Thing #7 - Tea Time for Two packets that look like teabags. The actual teabags are inside the "teabag" that I made. Thing #8 - Simple Recipe Swap envelope to hold the recipes I send... my bubble letters are not what they used to be!). After that I crocheted myself a pouch to hold my wooden crochet hooks in. They are not supposed to mingle with the metal hooks, so they needed their own home.
Tomorrow I'll be making things 10 & 11... so I'll be all caught up going into the weekend! It'll be nice - I hate being behind. :P

I have piles and piles of greeting cards hanging around, and have been trying to figure out things that I can do with them. Recently I discovered that one of the things that can be done is to take the pictures from the cards, mount them on card stock, and make bookmarks! I secure them down with Mod Podge to make it sturdy. These are for a "spend no money" swap that I'm doing, but it's definitely a fun craft that I'll probably do more often (we have a LOT of cards...).

I had 2 super ripe bananas that I needed to either pitch or throw away. I could not bring myself to waste them because they make such wonderful, nutritious goodies - so I invented a recipe for banana oat bran cookies!
The recipe is loaded onto Livestrong and can be found here:

I will say this: They are vegan and they passed the husband taste test. Score!

My first attempt at a book thong... it's stretchy so it will fit all sizes of books. This is for the same swap as the coaster. Admittedly, I'm not sure how I feel about it so I think one of my next things (on Sunday maybe?) will be a couple of recycled bookmarks as well for my partner's package.

I am participating in a swap that requires me to send one person 1 coaster, 1 bookmark, and 1 teabag. Tonight I made the coaster for the swap. I really like the colors; I might make a 2nd matching one!
